Zamfara CP, Usman Nagogo, unveils Maru, Tsafe Community Policing Advisory Committees

The Commissioner of Police Zamfara State Command, Usman Nagogo, has inaugurated a 16 and  17 members in the on going Community Policing   Advisory Committees in Maru and Tsafe local governments areas of the State.

The members of the committees were inaugurated at the palaces of the two Emirates and was attended by the two  Local Government Chairmen, Community/ Religious leaders and other important personalities of  the two council areas.

 Nagogo, while inaugurating the committee, stressed the importance of the committee saying that policing in the modern days is community driven . Hence, the people will have the opportunity of providing house to house watch.

While responding,  the Emirs and council  chairmen appreciated the Inspector General of Police for  the gesture, which they said would never be abused. They added that only people of impeccable characters will be selected into the exercise.

A statement signed by Superintendent Mohammed Shehu, the Command’s spokesman stated that the CP was accompanied by the State Director of Security (DSS), Commandant Civil Defence and other senior Police officers.
