YWIG Declares War On Aare Ona Kakanfo, Gani Adams, Over Careless Talks

<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>YWIG declares war on Gani Adams<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a><&sol;strong> can report that a Yoruba women association has descended on the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land&comma; Otunba Gani Adams over what they describe as &OpenCurlyQuote;uncouth’ language&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The association known as Yoruba Women in Government&comma; YWIG&comma; condemned&comma; in very strong terms&comma; the temerity of the Aare Ona Kakanfo to demand the resignation of the Commissioner of Oyo State&comma; Mrs&period; Ngozi Onadeko&comma;<br &sol;>&NewLine;In a statement signed by the association’s Chairperson&comma; Chief Fumilayo Adesanwo&comma; and made available to OpenLife&comma; the women commended the courage and patriotism of Commissioner Onadeko to rid Oyo State of kidnappers&comma; arsonists and other criminal elements&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The South West women who stressed that the Aare Ona Kakanfo is obstructing justice&comma; further accused Gani Adams of distorting facts and embarking on a campaign of blackmail&comma; thereby threatening peace and security&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;We will not fold our arms and allow Gani Adams to rubbish the good name and excellent track record Mrs&period; Ngozi Onadeko has built over the years’’ the descendants of Oduduwa said&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Further as <strong>YWIG<&sol;strong> declares war on Gani Adams&comma; they  also tongue-lashed him for his apparent disregard for law&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Gani Adams and his co-travellers are behaving like a pack of juveniles&period; They don’t mean well for this country’’<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>YWIG praised Onadeko for her extraordinary courage and absolute understanding of security issues in Oyo State&comma; expressing delight and satisfaction with the high degree of determination so far exhibited by her in addressing the security challenges in Oyo State&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>They accused Adams of pushing the real issues aside and employing sentiments and blackmail to explain the security situation in Oyo State&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;washingtonpost&period;com&sol;">South-West women<&sol;a> underscored the shameful show of power&comma; uncivilized tactics and the rights of citizens adding that Gani Adams has penchant for uncouth language&comma; arrogant demeanor and use of brute force&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Gani Adams did not put on his thinking garb before calling for the redeployment of the police commissioner&period; He is misinforming the people’’<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Specifically&comma; they took a swipe at the action of the OPC members in Kajola community&comma; Ibarapa North Local Government&comma; describing it as unacceptable&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;The solution does not lie in the use of blackmail or force which Gani Adams and members of the Oodua People’s Congress&comma;OPC&comma; are known for&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>On January 12&comma; 2021&comma; the immediate past Inspector General of Police&comma; Adamu Mohammed&comma; posted Mrs Ngozi Onadeko&comma; as the new commissioner of police&comma; Oyo State Command&comma; replacing Mr Nwachuckwu Enwonwu&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Onadeko is the first female to occupy that position in Oyo State&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
