YWIG Declares War On Aare Ona Kakanfo, Gani Adams, Over Careless Talks

YWIG declares war on Gani Adams

OpenLife Nigeria can report that a Yoruba women association has descended on the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land, Otunba Gani Adams over what they describe as ‘uncouth’ language.
The association known as Yoruba Women in Government, YWIG, condemned, in very strong terms, the temerity of the Aare Ona Kakanfo to demand the resignation of the Commissioner of Oyo State, Mrs. Ngozi Onadeko,
In a statement signed by the association’s Chairperson, Chief Fumilayo Adesanwo, and made available to OpenLife, the women commended the courage and patriotism of Commissioner Onadeko to rid Oyo State of kidnappers, arsonists and other criminal elements.

The South West women who stressed that the Aare Ona Kakanfo is obstructing justice, further accused Gani Adams of distorting facts and embarking on a campaign of blackmail, thereby threatening peace and security.
“We will not fold our arms and allow Gani Adams to rubbish the good name and excellent track record Mrs. Ngozi Onadeko has built over the years’’ the descendants of Oduduwa said.

Further as YWIG declares war on Gani Adams, they  also tongue-lashed him for his apparent disregard for law.

“Gani Adams and his co-travellers are behaving like a pack of juveniles. They don’t mean well for this country’’

YWIG praised Onadeko for her extraordinary courage and absolute understanding of security issues in Oyo State, expressing delight and satisfaction with the high degree of determination so far exhibited by her in addressing the security challenges in Oyo State.

They accused Adams of pushing the real issues aside and employing sentiments and blackmail to explain the security situation in Oyo State.

The South-West women underscored the shameful show of power, uncivilized tactics and the rights of citizens adding that Gani Adams has penchant for uncouth language, arrogant demeanor and use of brute force.
“Gani Adams did not put on his thinking garb before calling for the redeployment of the police commissioner. He is misinforming the people’’

Specifically, they took a swipe at the action of the OPC members in Kajola community, Ibarapa North Local Government, describing it as unacceptable.

“The solution does not lie in the use of blackmail or force which Gani Adams and members of the Oodua People’s Congress,OPC, are known for.”

On January 12, 2021, the immediate past Inspector General of Police, Adamu Mohammed, posted Mrs Ngozi Onadeko, as the new commissioner of police, Oyo State Command, replacing Mr Nwachuckwu Enwonwu.
Onadeko is the first female to occupy that position in Oyo State.
