<h4>Why I Fell Out With Actress Ekene Umenwa&#8212;Popular comedian And Skit Creator Deacon Famous</h4>

<p><strong><a href="https://openlife.ng/">OpenLife Nigeria</a></strong> reports that popular comedian and skit creator Deacon Famous has finally opened up about the real reason he fell out with actress Ekene Umenwa, his former close friend, revealing that he stayed silent at the time to protect his peace, especially during his wedding preparations.</p>
<p>He shared that he avoided engaging with the controversy because his wife had advised him to remain quiet, wanting to ensure a drama-free wedding. “Contrary to online rumours, my wife had no issues with Ekene and was never involved in the matter,” he clarified.</p>
<p>“She is calm, non-confrontational, and uninterested in social media drama. The issue was strictly between me and the actress.”</p>
<p>Deacon Famous traced the tension to a private conversation he had with Ekene the night before the controversy erupted.</p>
<p>According to him, she strongly criticized a certain individual suspected to be his ex-girlfriend claiming they had bad intentions toward his wedding. He was taken aback when, the next day, Ekene publicly celebrated the same person with warm birthday wishes.</p>
<p>Seeking clarity, he reached out to her privately, but instead of responding, he alleged that she shared screenshots of his messages with others, including her husband and a priest.</p>
<p>“I was disappointed that the priest, whom I expected to be neutral, appeared to side with her,” he said.</p>
<p>He revealed that the only person who made genuine efforts to calm the situation was Ekene’s mother, who personally reached out to him.</p>
<p>Deacon Famous also spoke about a movie project he had developed specifically with Ekene in mind, a testament to their friendship. However, he said the project faced numerous delays after her wedding. When she finally agreed, under the condition that filming would take place in Asaba, he relocated his entire crew and covered all logistics.</p>
<p>But he claimed her husband later informed him she had taken another production during the same dates, effectively abandoning the project.</p>
<p>Although they later reconciled and Ekene apologized while heavily pregnant abroad, Deacon Famous admitted the experience left lasting scars. He forgave her and continued supporting her, but the ordeal took a toll.</p>
<p>He further alleged that false narratives about him were spread online, claiming Ekene even paid a blogger â¦200,000 to publish damaging stories.</p>
<p>He recalled that during his proposal period, Ekene had questioned whether he truly understood his future wife, to which he reassured her of his intentions.</p>
<p>Reflecting on the events, Deacon Famous said;</p>
<p>“I have forgiven but cannot forget the emotional toll, online backlash, hostile comment sections, and unfair attacks on my wife.”</p>
<p>He explained that his silence during the conflict was a conscious choice to protect his marriage and mental peace, but he felt it was time to finally set the record straight.</p>
