<p><em>Who Should Be Nigeria’s President<&sol;em><br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a><&sol;strong> reports that as the debates on <strong>who<&sol;strong> should be Nigeria’s next President assume a wider dimension amongst stakeholders&comma; Adamu Song&comma; one of the experienced hands in political party management in Nigeria&comma; has added his voice&comma; enumerating the qualities that should define who occupies the presidential seat in 2023&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Speaking exclusively with OpenLife on Wednesday&comma; the Adamawa State-born political tactician and experienced player in the country’s oil and gas sector stated that the next president must have a sound understanding of the arithmetic of Nigeria’s dialectic components for ease of administration&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;As a firm believer in fairness and equity&comma; the former national chairman of the Alliance For Democracy&comma; AD&comma; and Progressive Peoples Alliance&comma; PPA&comma; maintained that despite the preponderance of quality presidential materials across the geo-political zones&comma; leaders of the 18 registered political parties should zone the presidential seat to the southern part of Nigeria&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;He argued that for the country to move forward&comma; each geo-political zone should be encouraged to manage the country as a way of entrenching a sense of belonging to all&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;In the southern stretch&comma; he&comma; however&comma; narrowed his advocacy to the southeast saying &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;They deserve to be supported in the 2023 presidential contest&period;”<br &sol;>&NewLine;The former <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;vanguardngr&period;com&sol;">General Secretary<&sol;a> of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers&comma; NUPENG&comma; added that the south easterner&comma; must as a matter of urgency&comma; reach out to other geo-political zones for support in their quest for 2023 interests&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;It is achievable if they work very hard&period; But they must reach out to others&period; They must be cohesive in their persuasions&period; They must collectively put forward their best who must be sound in logic&comma; economics&comma; culture&comma; human management&comma; interpersonal relationship&comma; balanced military knowledge and of course sound international and diplomatic relations&comma;” he stated&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;He added that &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;I am sure they all this in abundance&period;”<br &sol;>&NewLine;On the just passed Petroleum Industry Bill&comma; now an act&comma; the <em>Wakili Asibiti<&sol;em> of Adamawa noted that leaders in the oil communities that have been earmarked for 3 percent should &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Calm down&comma;” in their grievance over what they feel as a cheat&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;He stated that the 3 percent is enormous when converted to naira and kobo in view of the quantum of daily oil production and sales&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;If that money is judiciously used&comma; it will make lots of difference in their various communities&period; They should see it as a starting point&period; It could increase subsequently&comma;” he emphasized&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
