When Atiku Was ‘Senate President’
OpenLife Nigeria reports that once again, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC , Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has confused voters about the information he dishes out in the course of his campaigns.
Over time, the former Lagos State governor had made incomprehensible statements which were taken by voters and stakeholders as slips of tongue, which many have argued that it is natural with human kind in the course of frequent communication in the public space.
However, what voters heard from the billionaire in cash and assets in Akwa Ibom State, about 48 hours ago, seems to have ignited a rethink of his ambition.
During his speech, Tinubu who, intermittently, switched from simple English Language to pidgin language, was heard to have ascribed the status of “Senate President” to the presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
The audience was literally taken aback given that Atiku has never contested for Senate position in his political sojourn.
The audience kept wondering about Tinubu and his utterances, most of which have become embarrassments to his supporters
