What Nigerians Do Not Know About Ngige

OpenLife Nigeria reports that just few days when the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC Minister of Labour and Productivity, Chris Ngige stated in a national television that he is incapable of open campaign for the APC Presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu because leading candidates in other political parties are his friends, a chieftain of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has unveiled some unknown characters of the Labour Minister.
Speaking on AIT Kakaaki programme on Friday morning, Dan Ulasi, who was appointed as the South-east Technical Adviser on Contact and Mobilisation to PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in October 2022 faulted former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s endorsement of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of Labour Party, saying that Obasanjo erred on the path of statesmanship in that endorsement.
Dan Ulasi who is a former chairman of the Anambra State chapter of PDP explained that what Atiku Abubakar is suffering in Obasanjo’s political enclave is similar to what Ngige suffered as Anambra State governor when he was illegally impeached by agents of Obasanjo, led by Chris Uba who was then domestic aide in Aso Rock Villa.
Ulasi affirmed that despite the political party differential between him and Ngige, the ruling APC minister who currently serves President Buhari is a man of integrity.
“Ngige is a man of integrity. He was impeached because he refused to share government money with those who supported him to become governor,” he stated.
“The roads in Ndemili North and South in Anambra State which were constructed by governor Chris Ngige around 2003 and 2004 with concrete drainage are some of the best roads in Anambra till date,” said Ulasi stressing that the roads are still of high values to road users in those communities.
Unlike billionaire Arthur Eze, who is the chief executive officer of Atlas Oranto Petroleum and a fellow Ndi Anambra who has openly denounced the presidential aspiration of Peter Obi, Ulasi carefully explained in the programme that he does not parade such penchant of dissuading any Anambra citizen from aspiring to the highest office in Nigeria, saying that would translate to disservice to his conscience and community.
