We Have The Expertise To Safeguard Nigeria’s Coastal Areas—Thems Security

We Have The Expertise

Ezekieh Isidahomhen, Chief Executive Officer of Thems Security Systems, TSS, in this conversation with the National Association of Online Security Reporters, NAOSRE, unveils its competence to offer security services to government agencies as well and corporate players and ship owners in the country’s coastal areas.

How professional is Thems Security System in the maritime sector?

Thems Security System is a big player in the maritime sector. That we are licensed by the Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, since 2013 as a guard force security, attests to our ability to provide all levels of security services in the maritime sector. We have been involved in security matters even for the official take-off of Thems Security System. Therefore, our experience can be measured in decades.

What is your overview of the maritime sector from the security perspective?

The maritime sector ranks amongst the largest in a country like Nigeria and in so many other countries in the world.
Trading is incomplete with maritime because heavy goods that cannot be moved by air are transported through water.
And if you quantify the aggregate of heavy and light goods moving around the world daily for human activities, the heavy goods are on a large scale. That is the reason maritime security is of most importance to us at Thems Security System Limited.

Can you highlight Thems Security System’s edge?

Maritime security is a specialized field in the maritime sector with corresponding security operations where the best of intelligence is deployed to protect vessels against internal and external threats.
The security encompasses all relevant activities which include but not limited to early identification of threats, mitigation and management of all intentional unlawful acts.
Our redefined scope to play bigger in the maritime sector is anchored on the training of our personnel to acquire new skills and sharpen existing skills for better performance and wholesale positive results in the protection of any facilities we are involved.
We have up-to-date skills with contemporary trends in the maritime sector with an emphasis on International Ship and Port Facility Code, ISPC,
Our ingrained knowledge of this important code places us ahead of other security companies.
This is because our understanding of the code enables us to adequately protect and ensure the safety of the crew, ships, ports and cargoes travelling on local and international waters.
