<h4>‎<br &sol;>&NewLine;We Are Committed To Public Safety<&sol;h4>&NewLine;<h4><&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">‎OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a><&sol;strong> reports that Kebbi State Police Commissioner&comma; Umar Mohammed Hadeija&comma; has assured the public of Police commitment to public safety&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>This promise is coming on the heels of the arraignment of a male armed robbery suspect&comma; Shafiu Atiku of Arewa Local Government Area&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Shafiu Atiku has been arraigned before the court for prosecution over an armed robbery incident in Birnin Kebbi&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;‎<br &sol;>&NewLine;‎The suspect was arrested on 15th January&comma; 2026 at about 7&colon;30pm after allegedly attacking a commercial motorcyclist&comma; Jafar&comma; with a machete and knife and forcefully dispossessing him of his Bajaj motorcycle at a location along the Bypass Road Birnin Kebbi&comma; while the victim was lawfully engaged in his business&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;‎<br &sol;>&NewLine;‎Commercial motorcyclists&comma; particularly those operating at night&comma; are advised to exercise heightened caution and avoid conveying suspicious individuals to isolated locations&comma; as such engagements have in the past resulted in the loss of lives and property&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>‎The CP was quoted&comma; in a statement signed by <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;punchng&period;com&sol;">SP Bashir Usman&comma;<&sol;a> ‎Police Public Relations Officer&comma; <strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">Kebbi State<&sol;a><&sol;strong> Command&comma; saying that the Command under the leadership of CP Umar Mohammed Hadeija&comma; <em><strong> &&num;8220&semi;Reassures members of the public of it&&num;8217&semi;s continued commitment to public safety&period; We also encourage the general public to promptly  report any suspicious activities&period;”<&sol;strong><&sol;em><br &sol;>&NewLine;‎<br &sol;>&NewLine;‎<br &sol;>&NewLine;‎<&sol;p>&NewLine;
