US Based NGO Names Africa’s Leading Philanthropist, Alhaji Salamu Amadu, Country Ambassador

OpenLife Nigeria reports that Africa’s leading philanthropist and founder, Afro Arab Group of Companies, Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, has been appointed as the Country Ambassador in Ghana for the United States of America-based charity organisation, Afrikicks.

The CEO of the charity organisation, Omarou Iddrisa was in Ghana recently to partner with the Ministry of Youth and Sports to embark on some philanthropic works in the Northern regions and assured of commitment to continuously support youth empowerment in the country through developmental projects.

In fulfilment of that, the Los Angeles-based NGO has appointed the astute businessman who is also known for transformative charitable projects in Zongo communities and other deprived remote areas around the country as its country ambassador to advance the goals of the organisation.

The NGO has indicated its commitment to providing shoes to those stricken by extreme poverty and impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in Africa.

Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu noted that the appointment has come at the right time because this is the time to support families especially marginalized single mothers who has been affected tremendously by the pandemic and are struggling to bounce back.

He pledged to contribute immensely to the vision and mission of the Afrikicks to ensure the well-meaning objectives of the organisation are met.

“I am honoured by this appointment and I must say it has come at the right time. I will contribute immensely to helping Afrikicks
in Ghana and beyond. As a philanthropist, I will partner with Afrikicks to help the deprived communities in Ghana, especially the Zongo communities,” he said.

Ambassador Salamu further expressed his profound gratitude to the Founder and CEO of Afrikicks Omarou Iddrisa for believing in him and for the opportunity to serve as the Ambassador of the charity organisation in Ghana.

“Lastly, I want to express my profound gratitude to Mr. Iddrisa for the appointment to serve as the Ambassador of Afrikicks in Ghana. In Shaa Allah, I will ensure that the mission and vision of the organisation is achieved and even exceed the targets,” he added.

During the short stay of the Founder of Afrkicks, the foundation donated some sporting equipment and footwears to some communities in the Northern Region as part of their efforts in developing sports in the country.

Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, known for his philanthropic works in the Zongo communities and Ghana football in general played a key role in the charity project.
