Upper East Region lauds Nana Akufo-Addo for Recycling Plant

&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">Upper East Region residents have lauded   President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the recycling plant in the region&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">Upper East Region is the 7th region to benefit from the waste treatment facility being established across Ghana’s 16 regions&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph"><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo<&sol;a> and the Group Chairman of the Jospong Group Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong cut the sod for the commencement of the project&period; Others present were traditional leaders&comma; government officials&comma; MMDCES and Jospong Group staff as well as residents&period; The sod cutting project in the Bolgatanga metropolis witnessed mammoth crowd on October 8 in Sherigu&period; It is expected to be completed within four months&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">It will be recalled that President Akufo-Addo pledged to make Ghana the cleanest city in Africa&period; To achieve the vision&comma; government partnered Jospong Group for an ultramodern solid waste treatment facility in the 16 regions&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph"><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;dailyguidenetwork&period;com&sol;">Honourable Cecelia Abena Dapaah<&sol;a> stated early 2019 that the country loses about &dollar;290 million annually to poor sanitation in Ghana&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<figure class&equals;"wp-block-image size-large"><img src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2020&sol;10&sol;Upper-East-Region-2-1024x683&period;jpg" alt&equals;"Upper East Region is the 7th region to benefit from the waste treatment facility being established across Ghana’s 16 regions&period;" class&equals;"wp-image-5242"&sol;><figcaption><br><strong>President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Group Chairman of the Jospong Group Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong<&sol;strong><&sol;figcaption><&sol;figure>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">Speaking&comma; one of the residents in Sherigu stated &&num;8220&semi;This is a laudable initiative from the Jospong Group and the Government&period; The establishment of this facility &nbsp&semi;will solve the unemployment issue among the youth in the region and protect our environment&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;It will also serve as an opportunity in generating income and &nbsp&semi;boost local economy&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">Thomas Aluman Apasinaba II&comma; the chief of Sherigu Naba promised to collaborate with the Jospong Group and the government&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Thank you Mr&period; President and to the Jospong Group and it&&num;8217&semi;s Chairman Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong&period; On behalf of our community we say Thank you for the ultramodern facility which will be sited on our land&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">Jospong Group Chairman&comma; Siaw Agyepong&comma; in his &nbsp&semi;speech&comma; canvassed for co operation for the solid waste treatment facility success&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">He highlighted the President’s initiative for <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;dailyguidenetwork&period;com">Ghana<&sol;a> to become the cleanest on the African continent&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">He applauded President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the hope he has restored in the private sector&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p class&equals;"wp-block-paragraph">75 people will be employed directly with 250 people indirectly&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
