Unrest in Lagos as police officer kills keke rider

There are reports of ongoing violence in Abule-Egba, Meiran area of Lagos state after a police officer allegedly stabbed a tricycle driver to death.

The clash between tricycle operators and police officers occurred on Thursday morning.

Eyewitness reports reveal that chaos began after a tricycle operator was shot dead for refusing to give a “N100 bribe” to an officer.

Tension has envelope the area as several gunshots rang out as commercial tricyclists gathered and became irate, condemning the killing and calling for justice.

Unknown Gunmen Kill Four Policemen In Anambra

As at the time of filing this report, its unclear if normalcy has been returned to the area.
