<p><strong>No fewer than four mobile policemen were killed early today by unidentified gunmen who opened fire on them at Oraifite community, in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State.</strong></p>
<p>The attack which occurred in the wee-hours of Thursday, has heightened anxiety among security personnel on election duty and residents of the state.</p>
<p>It was further gathered that the hoodlums also made away with the dead officers’ weapons.</p>
<p>Oraifite is about 46Kms to the capital Awka.</p>
<p>Efforts to confirm the exact number of casualties in the attack failed.</p>
<p>A gory picture however indicated that no fewer than four policemen were gunned down in the attack.</p>
<p>A source said that both the dead and injured were taken to a nearby hospital in the area.</p>
