Unity Bank Nigeria Plc,  a large financial services provider with several service outlets debunks, in this notice, the erroneous impression of the bank’s leaking customers’ data. OpenLife reproduces the statement below

For the avoidance of doubt, Unity Bank wishes to reassure that it takes protection of customers’ personal information very seriously. This is in accordance with data protection legislation.

The Bank hereby reassures its customers and the public at large, of the integrity of its systems. Data confidential controls are continuously enhanced in line with best practices. The essence is to forestall compromise

We also implore all our esteemed customers and the general public to be vigilant. They should not succumb to  false and suspicious mails, text, calls and messages. It could mislead them into disclosing their personal details.”
