Top Nigerian lawmaker slumps, dies in South Africa (PHOTO)

A top Nigerian lawmaker has died.

Openlife Nigeria reports that the majority Leader of the Anambra State House Of Assembly and member representing Awka South Constituency 1, Honourable Nnamdi Okafor (Akajiugo Awka) is dead.

Okafor collapsed on Tuesday in a hotel at Sandton City Johannesburg, South Africa and was confirmed dead hours later.

The cause of his death is yet to be ascertained as of the time of publishing this report.

He was in South Africa along with other House of Assembly members for legislative retreat.
