You Have Only Advertised Your Emptiness,VDM Lashes At Obi Cubana

Tinubu 2027

OpenLife Nigeria reports that Obi Cubana is at the center of a storm after VeryDarkMan unleashed a blistering critique over his political alignment with Seyi Tinubu.

In a video that has since gone viral, VDM didn’t hold back, branding Cubana a “glorified errand boy” and questioning the motives behind his recent involvement in the City Boy Movement as South-East Coordinator.

The fiery criticism struck at both Cubana’s political relevance and his loyalty to his community.

VDM mocked Cubana’s performance at the meeting, ridiculing the way he stumbled through the “On Your Mandate We Shall Stand” song. According to VDM, this public display showed a lack of leadership and seriousness, highlighting a gap between celebrity influence and genuine political power.

He further argued that Cubana cannot deliver votes in the South-East, asserting that his engagement in politics is driven by personal gain rather than a commitment to the people he claims to represent.

Beyond personal jabs, VeryDarkMan framed the critique within a broader political and ethnic lens, insisting that the real challenges facing the South-East are internal leadership failures, not external forces.

Cubana’s silence on critical issues, including Nnamdi Kanu’s detention, was cited as proof that fame and wealth alone cannot translate into meaningful action.

The video has sparked intense online debates, with Nigerians divided between viewing Cubana as a savvy socialite navigating political spaces and seeing him as a celebrity compromising community values for personal recognition.

VeryDarkMan’s outburst has once again highlighted the growing tension between celebrity influence and political credibility in Nigeria’s evolving power space.

As public figures increasingly step into politically charged arenas, their actions are no longer judged by status or wealth, but by substance, timing, and alignment with public sentiment.

The backlash against Obi Cubana underscores a wider demand for accountability from influential personalities who choose to associate with political power, especially at a time when public trust remains fragile.

Whether justified or not, the criticism has ensured that Cubana’s political associations will now be scrutinized far beyond social media applause.
