OpenLife Nigeria reports that Dr. Tinuade Sanda, the former Managing Director of Eko Electricity Distribution Company and a prominent figure in the Nigerian energy landscape, has been honored with the prestigious Vanguard Energy Icon of the Year Award which took place at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Vanguard Personality of the Year Award in its 12th edition, is an annual event that celebrates eminent personalities who have excelled in professional excellence and demonstrated outstanding service to humanity in both the private and public sectors.

Dr. Tinuade Sanda’s recognition as the Energy Icon of the Year highlights her remarkable contributions to the energy sector and her commitment to advancing Nigeria’s power industry.

In her acceptance speech, Dr. Sanda expressed her gratitude to Vanguard for the recognition and dedicated the award to her team, the entire workforce and Board of Directors of Eko Electricity Distribution Company.

“I am deeply honored to receive this award. It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of my team and the support from the Board of Directors and other stakeholders in the sector. I’m looking forward to even greater milestones ahead.” She stated.

Dr. Sanda further emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in overcoming the challenges faced by the energy sector and reiterated her commitment to contributing to the development of Nigeria’s power industry.

Welcoming guests to this year’s event, the Editor of Vanguard Newspaper, Mr. Eze Anaba, disclosed that the sole focus of the event is to celebrate outstanding achievers; “This ceremony gives us an opportunity to acknowledge the efforts of our awardees in the relentless pursuit of excellence and a commitment to making a positive impact.
