Tension In Nollywood as Angela Okorie Blasts Ruth Kadiri Over Spiritual AI Claim

OpenLife reports that a fresh wave of conversation has taken over the Internet after Nollywood stars Angela Okorie and Ruth Kadiri found themselves on opposite sides of a sensitive topic involving faith and technology.

It all started when Kadiri shared a video on Instagram describing what she called a divine revelation. Speaking passionately, she warned about what she believes is a growing shift among Christians toward artificial intelligence as a source of comfort and guidance. She suggested that this trend could eventually distort spiritual understanding if not addressed early.

According to her:
“If there is an original, there is also going to be a fake. The devil is trying to take control of the world in ways that we can’t imagine. God told me that the Holy Spirit is what people will call today the first AI. A lot of Christians have started to take their problems to AI, and they have forgotten that God first invented it for His children to meet their emotional needs. If we Christians aren’t careful, we will end up believing these apps will solve our problems”.

Her message quickly gained traction, drawing mixed reactions from followers who either resonated with her concerns or questioned her interpretation.

Angela Okorie, however, made her stance very clear. Known for her outspoken personality, she reacted sharply, rejecting Kadiri’s statement without hesitation. Her response was brief but intense, signaling strong disapproval of the claims being made.

She said:
“Na wa o. Which Holy Spirit go and sit down and shut up your mouth. This nonsense has to stop”.

The exchange has since fueled ongoing discussions online, with many weighing in on the balance between religious faith and modern technology. While some see Kadiri’s warning as a call for spiritual caution, others view Okorie’s reaction as a defense against what they consider misleading narratives.
