Senator Fadahunsi Caught On Video Again Calling For ‘Dealing With’ Non-APC Supporters In Osun {Video}

Senator Fadahunsi Caught On Video Again

OpenLife News reports that the Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District, Francis Fadahunsi, is trending again for the wrong reasons after two separate videos surfaced showing him making threats ahead of the Osun governorship election.

First Video: Threat To ‘Kill’ Accord Members

On Tuesday, August 11, a video emerged online showing Fadahunsi speaking in Yoruba at the palace of the Owa Obokun of Ijesaland in Ilesa.

In the clip, the Senator was heard saying:

“How many people have you seen the APC kill? We are here to tell you that until the day of the election, if we see any Accord member in Ilesa, we will kill them.”

The remark drew widespread condemnation and caught the attention of security agencies.

Police Summon Senator

On the strength of the first video, the Osun State Police Command summoned the Senator for questioning.

The Commissioner of Police in charge of election security, Samuel Etaifo, invited Fadahunsi on Wednesday. Confirming the development, the Command’s spokesperson, <strong>Abiodun Ojelabi, said:

“I can confirm that he has been summoned by the CP. We will make a statement available regarding it.”
Second Video: ‘Deal With’ Non-APC Supporters

Despite the police invitation, another video surfaced on Saturday afternoon.

In the new clip, Senator Fadahunsi was seen addressing APC supporters and urging them to monitor voters at polling units. He allegedly told them that non-supporters must be ‘dealt with.’

The video, shared by Sahara Reporters TV, has since gone viral and sparked outrage across Osun and beyond, especially with voting ongoing in the state’s governorship election.

Context And Reactions

Fadahunsi, a member of the 10th Senate, has represented Osun East since 2019. The timing of the videos, days to the August 15 governorship poll, has raised concerns about possible election violence and intimidation in Osun East, a key battleground with towns like Ilesa, Ife, and Iwo.

Civil society groups and election observers have called on the police and INEC to ensure the Senator faces the full weight of the law if found guilty of incitement and electoral offences under the Electoral Act 2022.

As of press time, the Senator had not issued an official statement regarding the second video.
