Segun Osoba is a problem to Gov. Abiodun…Ogun Commissioner

Honorable  members of Governor Dapo Abiodun cabinet have embarked on wild attack on the leader of All progressive Congress and the former governor of ogun state, Chief Segun Osoba.

Specifically, the Commissioner for Youths and Sports in the state, Dr. Kehinde Oludare mocked the party leader in the state, Chief Segun Osoba for lacking in vision and building human capacity.

Gov. Dapo Abiodun

Oludare disclosed this when members of the League of Registered Political Parties paid him a courtesy visit in his office

Openlife magazine  gathers that, all was not well within the party in the state since Governor Dapo Abiodun came into office as many loyalists of the governor have been throwing banters at Chief Segun Osoba, a former governor of the state and National leader of the party, who worked against the will of former Governor Ibikunle Amosun to Install Governor Abiodun as the party’s candidate during the primary.

Crisis erupted in the broom party when the jostle for nomination for commissioners list began and nominees for Local Government Caretaker Committees were to be submitted.

Many loyalists of the governor believed Chief Osoba’s influence on the governor was becoming too much and overbearing. So, the need to cut him to size and allow the governor to install his kinsmen and combatants into key positions became the order of the day.

The Commissioner, who singled out former Lagos State governor, Chief Ahmed Bola Tinubu for building political empire by empowering the like of Fashola, Ambode, Aregbesola, Fayemi, and Muiz Banire, condemned Chief Osoba for being careless about his followers.

He maintained that, posterity will never forgive most of the serving political office holders in the state who failed to use their office for the development of the State.

He, therefore, urged politicians to always build human capacity, saying the essence of joining politics was not for pecuniary gains, but to contribute their quota to national development.

“As politicians, what are we contributing to the development of the society? And as a political party, we have our own aims and objective for us to join in politics and the essence of it is because we felt we can contribute our quota to the national development.

“In 1999, Bola Ahmed came on board with the likes of Osinbajo, Kayode Fayemi, Fashola, Aregbesola, Mamora, Muiz Banire, Tokunbo Afikuyomi, Obanikoro, et al. And till today, all these people are doing well in their respective fields and that is why till today you see in Lagos, Ambode, Fashola, here and there doing well.

Ogun Sports Commissioner, Kehinde Oludare

“When you also look back to that 1999, when Osoba was governor, Lam Adesina was governor, Oyegun as governor, and Dariye and few other people in 1999, how many of them can we point to, that these are the people that they are able to build. And we all know that, a leader without a successor is a failure. And that’s what matters in this world.

“ Here in Ogun State, the only person I can see with Osoba is Segun Adesegun. Asides, Segun Adesegun, no other person again. So, likewise in Oyo State, nobody I can probably say this belongs to Lam Adesina’s camp. Likewise Adefarati and few other people. But Bola Tinubu, appreciates brains.

“So, in our own politics, I want to advise, let it be that, it is not what we want to achieve that matters, but what people can benefit because of us.”
