National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS) has urged Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to reopen Tai Solarin College of Education (TASCE), Ijagun, Ogun State for learning to avoid further degeneration.
The institution has been under lock for more than six months over unpaid 48 months salaries and 14 months salary arrears.
The Association made this known on Monday July 8, 2019 through its newly elected National President, Comrade Ogunrombi Oluwagbemileke at a Press conference which held at Iwe -Iroyin press center Abeokuta, the State capital.
Oluwagbemileke who expressed belief that Abiodun’s administration would rejuvenate the glory of the State, lamented that the close down of activities on the campus could affect students academic performance.
He stated “Though, we believe that the Governor has come to restore the glory of the State, we seize this medium to implore him to see to the reopening of Tai Solarin College of Education that has been under lock for months now.”
Speaking on the Association’s just concluded election which was held over the weekend, the President stressed that democracy must thrive, not only in the State but also in the country at large, insisting, “Credible electoral process is needed to grow the tree of democracy.’
