Police arrests bandits, recovers 130 cows, 225 sheep in Katsina

Katsina State Police Command, on May 27 arrested six  notorious bandits and kidnappers. The command also  recovered one hundred and thirty cows  and two hundred and twenty five  sheep.

This was disclosed by Gambo Isah, a Superintendent of Police and the command Police Public Relations Officer.

According to Isah, the arrest was  based on intelligence report that a notorious syndicate of bandits had escaped from the Rugu forest to avoid the on going  Military-Police onslaught.

Consequently, the Area Commander, Dutsinma, led Operation Puff Adder and other police patrol teams and raided their hideout, near Fasada village, Dutsinma LGA of Katsina state. The team succeeded and arrested  19 years old Lawali Hali, male from Shamushalle, Zamfara state;  13 years old Abdullahi Alhaji  Juli, another male also from  Shamushalle, Zamfara state; 12 years old  Rabe Bello, a male from  Nahuta village, Batsari Council Area; 16 years old  Auwalu Halilu from  Nahuta village of Batsari Council Area; 23 years old Lawal Hassan, from Katakam, wurma, kurfi Council Area of Katsina state; 30 years old Ibrahim Sani, alias Nabuhari, from  Gamji, Zakka district of Safana Council Area of Katsina state. Isah stated that investigation is ongoing.

Also, the Command, in a combined operation of police and repentant bandits led by Sani Muheddinge killed two notorious kidnappers, rescued three victims and recovered one AK 47 rifle. Investigation, Isah added, is on going.
