Petition to jail Buhari over Lekki massacre deleted

An online petition created by former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has been deleted from the website.

The petition was addressed to the International Criminal Court to arraign Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari over the shooting of #ENDSARS protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos.

“This petition isn’t availabe. Either the URL is incorrect, it violated our Community Guidelines, or the starter removed it,” a message on the petition page said.

This is coming after the petition garnered over 100,000 signatures.

Reacting to the development on his Facebook page, Omokri claimed that the petition was removed by ‘Hacktivists’.

“Dear Nigerians, after hitting 100k signatures, the guilty conscience stricken Buhari administration mobilised paid hacktivist to break into our petition and deleted it. They think they have won, but they have not.”

“Their actions only show their guilt and we will press on with #BuhariForPrison2023 to ensure Buhari retires to prison in 2023 for the #LekkiMassacre of innocent, peaceful, unarmed #EndSARS protesters.”

“Thankfully, local and international media already carried the petition before it was hacked. Aluta continua until Buhari is in prison, so help me God!”
