Pastor Ashimolowo Hands Estimated N7billion Church Over To Son, May Retire At 70 In March

Pastor Ashimolowo
OpenLife Nigeria reports that the founder of Kingsway International Christian Centre, KICC, Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo has appointed his first son, Tobi Ashimolowo, as Resident Pastor 2 of the church in London.
He is expected to assist his mother, Yemisi Ashimolowo, who is Resident Pastor 1.
Tobi is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Vault, a high-end store for menswear and accessories.
The church is estimated to be worth about N7 billion. The celebrated preacher is said to earn an annual salary of £150,000.
Reports say a majority of his wealth comes from the sale of Christian literature and documentaries from his media company.
The Pastor was quoted to have said: “In a very major way from this morning, we will no longer have one resident pastor.
“Yemisi has always been our resident pastor, so she will be Resident Pastor 1. Our new resident pastor is Pastor Tobi Ashimolowo.
“So, he is our Resident Pastor 2, he has to take some serious responsibility from now on. These guys are retiring their father.”
Born on March 17, 1952, Ashimolowo who will be 70 in March and has signaled his retirement from the pulpit, was sent to open a satellite branch in London in 1992 by the Foursquare Gospel Church, a Nigerian church. But Pastor Matthew had other ideas and decided to set up his own church instead.
At the moment, his Kingsway International Christian Center is reportedly the largest Pentecostal church in the United Kingdom.
His Winning Ways programme is aired daily on Premier Radio (London) and Spirit FM (Amsterdam) and on television in Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, TV Africa, the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) and Europe on The God Channel and Inspirational Network.
