<p><strong>A yet-to-be identified man has been shot dead in Maitama area of the <a href="http://Openlife.ng">Federal Capital Territory (FCT)</a>, Abuja while trying to rescue a kidnap victim.</strong></p>
<p>The attack happened at about 8:46 pm on Wednesday.</p>
<p>Eyewitnesses say the man was killed by suspected kidnappers who invaded Gana Street.</p>
<p>The victim was killed while trying to rescue a man that was being forced into a vehicle by the suspected kidnappers.</p>

<p>The kidnappers’ victim was shot in the head and died instantly while the criminals reportedly abducted their target.</p>
<p>Spokesperson of the FCT Police command, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the development.</p>
<p>She added that security operatives are already on the trail of the assailants.</p>
