What is the cutting edge of Gamaa Renewable Energy for residential solar power solution to transform homes into an energy efficient haven?

Gamaa Renewable energy is into solar and wind energy. The company actually started in 2010.
We make use of the sun to generate electricity for businesses and homes and rural areas.

We help small and medium scale businesses that need electricity for stability Energy has been a major concern in Nigeria. For quite some time, we have been trying our best to fill the gap in electricity.

Are you an independent power producer?

Yes, we are. We harness power Independently as well as get my materials Independently to power estate and homes. Gamaa has a way of generating power in a manner that we actually meter your home just the same NEPA does.

Gamaa can also automate your homes that is just to generate electricity. It can actually monitor in the sense of installmental payment to make clients pay at a stipulated time. We are trying our best in large and small ways.

Do you factor in low voltage system in Nigeria in your service delivery?

Most of our materials and equipment are top notch. Any voltage that goes through our system is being processed with adequate 220V.]

Gamaa doesn’t make use of any kind of equipment that is prone to low voltage.
We use what we call upgraded grid and off grid. The off grid systems are used where there are no electricity at all while the grid systems are used where there are electricity and the electricity is poor.
There are interface device that we install to make sure that low voltage is addressed .

What challenges do you encounter in the industry?

The main challenge is primarily lack of professionals in the field which we are tackling through training at our training institute.

Also, there is this inadequate funding from the government and we urge government to provide incentives to players in the industry.

Besides, there is the challenge of insecurity. For example, you can’t travel at night because of insecurity and then you are forced to travel by air at expensive rate.

What is the scope of your client base?

At Gamaa, we have delivered to hospitals, lot of governments parastatals, hotels and rural areas.
As a matter of fact, we have done electrification projects in about 18 States in northern Nigeria.

The growth is transcending. Our growth is reflected in the increasing customer base as well as branches across Nigeria.

We are inspired by our growth trajectory.

Engineer Albert Okwori, offering quality renewable energy services to both government, individuals and institutions

That encourages our mission to expand the scope of our business across Nigeria and beyond. In like manner, our vision is tailored along a determination to take away all the fake materials and unprofessional installers off the markets.

That process will enhance Nigeria’s standard in renewable energy circle. We are creating employments for the youths .We have provided jobs for over 500 people in the past few years and we are working up to 1000 soon.

How is your customer relationship experience?

Our customer relationship is perfect and we have the response team that respond to the needs of the our customers in all States.

Did you receive a formal training before venturing in the energy business?

First, I am an electrical engineer and l did my masters in the area of renewable energy including other courses. I had my training in Abuja and was trained by experts.

Technically, the epileptic power failure and the carbon deposits from generators in the atmosphere motivated me to venture into renewable energy.

Moreso and talking of training, we have a training institute called Gamaa Training Institute in Abuja.
There are plans for expanded digital programmes in our training institute for both visual and physical.

Meantime, we have trained about 500 engineers across Nigeria.
