<h4>Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde Says She Won’t Dance For Movie Promotion<&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a><&sol;strong> reports that veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has taken a firm stand against the growing trend of actors dancing on social media to promote their films&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In a recent interview&comma; she made it clear that while she loves dancing&comma; she will not perform it as a marketing tool&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;I’m sorry&comma; I would not be doing the dancing&period; I’m very&comma; very sorry&period; It’s just not me&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;I dance&period; I love to dance&comma; I’m sure a lot of us love to dance&comma;” Omotola said&comma; emphasizing that her enjoyment of dance is personal and not a promotional obligation&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The actress explained that the problem is not with dancing itself&comma; but with why it is being done&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;I think the problem and the reason why a lot of people are kicking back at it is because you want to dance because you feel like it&comma; not because you have to&comma;” she noted&comma; highlighting the difference between natural fun and forced marketing trends&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Omotola stressed the importance of professionalism in the film industry&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;But when it becomes a chore&comma; when it becomes&comma; oh&comma; this is what you have to do to even sell a movie&comma; it’s not professional&period; I already did the project&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>You know&comma; I should go around&comma; you know&comma; talk about the project&comma; promote the project&comma; and then let the people whose job it is to distribute and advertise handle that&comma;” she said&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>According to the Nollywood icon&comma; actors should focus on their craft delivering authentic performances while marketing and distribution should be handled by trained professionals&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>She believes that forcing creatives into viral dance trends or social media stunts detracts from the essence of storytelling and undervalues the actor’s role in the filmmaking process&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Omotola’s candid remarks reflect a growing conversation in Nollywood about social media pressure and the changing dynamics of movie promotion in the digital age&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
