The Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Dr. John Taiwo Adekolawole, has congratulated the contingent of the institution at the just concluded NIPOSSGA 2021, tagged UGWASHI UKU, hosted by the Delta State Polytechnic.
Recall that the Polytechnic contingent, which was led by the Director of Sports, Mr Obafemi Olujinmi Oni, for the first time won two Gold medals and six Bronze medals during the games.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the Protocol, Media and Public Relations Officer of the institution, Sola Lawal, and made available to newsmen on Sunday in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
The statement quoted the Rector as saying: ” On behalf of the Governing Council, Management and the entire staff and students of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, I heartily felicitate with our diligent and committed Coaching crew, led by the Chief Coach, Mr Shuaib Agboola Akinbode, the Entire Ugwachi Uku 2021 Contingent led by Deputy Rector ( Academics) Engr. Dr. Joseph Olawole Petinrin, Deputy Rector (Administration) Alhaji Isiaka Tunji Adelabu, Polytechnic Librarian, Dr. Rotimi Adesina Egunjobi and the entire Federal Polytechnic, Ede Community .
Indeed, this is another display of the inherent ‘ Never say die attitude” of our citadel and the high spirit of consistency as enshrined in our institution’s motto which is “KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND CHARACTER
” As we celebrate this laudable feat, I thereby urge the entire Polytechnic community to continue to work in unison and in solidarity as one big family of whole towards taking the citadel to a greater heights”.
