My Governorship And Cultism—Senator Ita Enang

OpenLife Nigeria reports that the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to President Muhammadu Buhari on Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Ita Enang has made clarifications on his alleged membership with cultism.
Speaking in Regina Askia’s online interactive programme, the 59 years old lawyer who had previously served as Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on National Assembly Matters (Senate) from 27 August 2015 to 29 May 2019, stated that his upbringing does not support associating with cultists.
When asked for clarification about rumoured Freemasonry, a fraternal organisation that trace their origins to the local guilds of stonemasons that, from the end of the 13th century, regulated the qualifications of stonemasons and their interaction with authorities and clients, Enang maintained that he is constantly guided by his father’s admonition who had objected to his law choice because of the profession’s rumoured allegiance to cultism.
He noted that he is still guided by his father’s intuition.
Enang however admitted that his governorship interest is not in doubt saying that he would contest the 2023 election with hope to win.
Ita Enang, before now, represented Itu and Ibiono Ibom Federal Constituency of Akwa Ibom State in the House of Representatives from 1999 to 2011.
He was elected Senator for the Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District (Uyo) from 2011 to 2015.
