OpenLife Nigeria reports that MultiChoice Nigeria has announced that the 11th season of the Big Brother Naija reality television show will premiere on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
This follows as the entertaining 2026 FIFA World Cup comes to an end at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Sunday, July 19, 2026.
The Big Brother Naija reality television show announcement was made at a press briefing on Wednesday, where organisers revealed that the winner of this year’s edition will receive a record-breaking grand prize of N160 million, the largest reward since the reality show’s inception in 2006.
Preparations for the new season commenced earlier this year with physical auditions conducted from May 22 to 24 across Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu after applicants were shortlisted.
Eligibility for participation was limited to individuals aged 21 years and above with valid identification. The upcoming season follows the success of the previous edition, which concluded on October 5, 2025, with Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, emerging as the winner of a prize package worth N150 million.
