MOUN General Secretary Calls On MotorCycle Operators
OpenLife Nigeria reports that the General Secretary of Motorcycle Operators Union of Nigeria, MOUN, Comrade Ade Ikuesan, has called on motor cycle operators and stakeholders in the business chain to embrace peace and ethical standards in the mode of operations in 2024.
Handing down this advice in a brief chat with OpenLife Sunday afternoon, the advocate for human rights re emphasized the strategic importance of motor cycle transportation in Nigeria.
He added that the consciousness of being an essential part in the country’s transport system should sufficiently guide operators to embrace ethical standards in their operations in different routes, lanes and roads across Nigeria .
“I wish all motor cycle riders a prosperous 2024. Their services in the entire transport gamut are very important.
“They must see themselves as key players in the transport system whose conduct must be professional in line with MOUN’s rules and regulations.
“I also call on motor cycle manufacturers, who have found Nigeria’s market very attractive, to input more flexibility, durability and comfortability into subsequent models because of the difficult terrains in which our riders operate” Comrade Ikuesan said.
He further charged policy makers across tiers of government to formulate friendly policies that would encourage growth in the sub sector.
