OpenLife Nigeria reports that the national leadership of the Motorcycle Operators Union of Nigeria, MOUN, has directed all its members to join the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC on a nationwide strike which begins tomorrow, June 3, 2024.
In a statement signed by the National Secretary, Comrade Ade Ikuesan, the Union affirmed that federal government’s lip service to the wages of workers remains unacceptable.
The Union noted that in view of government’s failure to enhance workers’ wages, its members should join the strike.
“In total compliance with this directive of NLC, the leadership of Motorcycle Operators
Union of Nigeria hereby calls on all State Chairmen to mobilize our members to
join the strike.
“Therefore, all the state and branch leadership are to work with the
NLC state chairmen at their various States,” the statement instructed
