Messi heeds TB Joshua advice

Messi heeds TB Joshua’s advice, stays back in Barcelona

Messi Lionel, the great footballer and Barcelona wonder boy has heeded Prophet TB Joshua’s advice on his soccer direction.

TB Joshua is the Senior Prophet of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN.

Messi, an Argentinian, is the most successful player in Barcelona’s history. Many regard him as the world’s best footballer.

He had submitted his intentions to leave Barcelona after a lackluster season including an alleged fallout with the hierarchy.

Then, came  Joshua’s “candid advice” to Messi to reconsider his move from Barcelona. The Argentinian has remarkably reversed his decision and agreed to stay at the Catalan club for an extra year.

Joshua took to social media on Wednesday 2nd September to advise Messi on the dangers of leaving Barcelona with bitterness.

“It is not good advice for Lionel Messi to leave Barcelona bitter and offended,” the cleric began. “It is impossible to establish a healthy relationship with a person who left a previous relationship bitter and offended. This is my candid advice to Messi. History is our boss.”

When Joshua’s message was released, all indications still suggested Messi’s imminent exit.

There were details, already being circulated online, of a huge deal lined up with Manchester City.

On  September 4,  Messi granted an exclusive interview to Goal.com. In the interview, he admitted earlier plans to quit but decided to rescind his decision. Said he: “I don’t want to fight against the club.” This came just two days after the Nigerian Prophet’s advice.

MESSI’S FATHER SPEAKS

Before a meeting with Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu, Messi’s father Jorge had stated, “My son is not staying again”

However, Jorge Curtly told Spanish media that his son was reconsidering his move. This came a day after Joshua’s advice, He said that there was a possibility he stays back.

“I’m now staying. The president told me that the only way I could leave was by paying the €700m release clause. It is impossible for me to pay such sum,” he said.

When asked whether he planned on taking the club to court, Messi responded, “I’d never take Barca to trial. I love this club. It has given me everything since I joined.”

His announcement lays to rest an intense transfer saga which captured the attention of the world. Many thought Messi would end his career at Barcelona.

Messi is expected to join training sessions under Ronald Koeman in preparation for the incoming season under a new boss.
