What is the focus of Liza C Street Concert?
Liza C Street Concert is one of our major platforms that we use to reach out to people. You can see the word street. Our main audience is the street. The struggling women in the street who roast yam, who fry groundnut and other stuffs are our audience.
Our street targets also include the indigent women, children in the street and youth.
Twice every year, we go to the street in April and September specifically to impact lives. We set a concert to gather people and use the data for empowerment.
We have solar, digital training for the youth. Traders get cash supports. Liza C Street Concert reaches out to the grassroots to make their lives better.
How long have you been running your Liza C Street Concert?
The NGO officially kicked off in 2019. First anniversary was on the 22nd of September and it was awesome. We reached out to families. But because of the Covid- 19 situation, we couldn’t have the mass gathering that we do on the street. We went to Ajegunle, Orile to give out food items, rice, oil, noodles, cash etc.
How do you get support?
It has been mainly funded by my family. My wonderful husband that believes in vision is actually the chairman of the foundation of Liza Moses Foundation. But we have other partners coming to support us in one way or the other financially. There is great supports from TGI. They give us terra oil and seasoning. There is mini milk, fan milk and individual companies. The CEO of Anointed Wholesale Limited has been wonderful. She has supported with cornflakes, food items and products.
How do you combine your gospel music and your NGO?
Music is life , is a food to the soul. Nobody says no to music even if you don’t get to understand what they are saying. It uplifts.
I am a gospel artist. A lot of my songs talk about things we do to be a blessing to people.
What impact have you made so far?
The impact has been awesome. In Ijesha Tedo, Odi-Olowo it was awesome. The people have not seen anything like that before.
We don’t just get to the street and dance and people go home, we get to empower people. People go home with a lot of packages.
So how do you get the guys on the street?
The guys on the street just get to the street. Naturally, when you play music people will be attracted.
How have you been able to improve the lives of the less privileged and the widows?
It is still the same we have been able to reach them.
How would you know that some of them are widows?
Some of them are widows. Some are single parents.
How long have you been singing gospel song?
