<h4>&NewLine;Lagos House Wife Sentenced To 28 Months Imprisonment For Dealing In Illicit Drug<&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife<&sol;a> <&sol;strong>reports that a federal high court sitting in Lagos today sentenced a Lagos house wife SIKIRU RUKAYAT to twenty eight months imprisonment for dealing in illicit drug&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In a six count charge filed before the court by the combined team of NDLEA Prosecuting counsels B&period;S&period; Abdullahi&comma;M&period;I&period;Erondu and P&period;M&period;Ekuri&comma; it was stated that SIKIRU RUKAYAT Female 33 years old&comma; on or about the 12th day of March&comma; 2026&comma; at Black Gate Badore Area&comma; Ajah&comma; Lagos&comma; within the jurisdiction of the <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;vanguardngr&period;com&sol;">Cour<&sol;a>t&comma; without lawful authority dealt in 150 grams of Cannabis Sativa&comma; 3 grams of Methamphetamine&comma;150 grams of Molly&comma;3 grams of cocaine&comma;15 grams of Rophynol and &comma;15 grams of Tramadol thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 11&lpar;c&rpar; of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency Act&comma; Cap N30 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>When the six count charge was read to her&comma;she pleaded guilty the prosecutor then reviewed the facts of the case and tendered six exhibits &comma;thereafter her lawyer in her plea for leniency&comma;urged the court to tamper justice with mercy&comma;saying that the convict is a single mother of four who leaves in uncompleted building&comma;and she has shown signs of remorse&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In his ruling&comma;the presiding judge&comma;Justice Akintayo Aluko said&comma;that he has put into consideration the plea of leniency by the counsel to the convict consequently&comma;the convict was sentenced as follows&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Count one&comma;six month&comma;count two two month&comma;count three&comma;two months count four&comma;twelve months&comma;count five three months&comma;count six three months&comma;or an option of fine of N800&comma;000&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>All the sentences are to run concurrently while the drugs seized from the convict were ordered to be returned to the NDLEA for destruction<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
