Korean Ambassador Meet Keyamo, Strengthens Bilateral Cooperation With FG

<p>Korean Ambassador Meet Keyamo<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a><&sol;strong> reports that as Nigeria records impressive showings at the global socio-economic sphere&comma; countries around the world are re-strengthening their diplomatic ties with the President Buhari-led federal government of Nigeria&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;On November 3&comma; the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nigeria&comma; <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;punchng&period;com&sol;">Sierria Leone<&sol;a> and Liberia&comma; Ambassador Kim Young-chae and his team were guests of honour at the office of the Minister of State for Labour and Employment&comma; Mr&period; Festus Keyamo&comma; SAN&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;In a statement signed by Tunde Moshood&comma; Special Assistant&comma; Media and Communications to the Minister&comma; the Korean envoy visited the honourable Minister in company of his deputy&comma; Kyungwon Bahng and the Consul&comma; Park Keunwon&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;He emphasized the need to step up the bilateral relations between Nigeria and the Republic of Korea&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;&&num;8220&semi;I resumed here in January&comma; 2021 and I thought the need to step up the mutually beneficial bilateral relations between our countries is paramount to discuss&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><img class&equals;"alignnone size-medium wp-image-10589" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2021&sol;11&sol;Keyamo-4-300x225&period;jpg" alt&equals;"Korean Ambassador " width&equals;"300" height&equals;"225" &sol;><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;I have been visiting government offices to garner support and yours&comma; as the Ministry in charge of Labour and Employment&comma; we will be needing your cooperation&comma; especially for the candidacy of our former Foreign Minister&comma; Kang Kyung-wha who&&num;8217&semi;s interested in the leadership of the International Labour Organisation in Geneva&comma; Switzerland next year&comma; 2022&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;We know how influential Nigeria is&comma; amongst the comity of nations and of course&comma; we are aware Nigerian votes is very important during the ILO election which is slated for next year&comma; 2021&comma; the special envoy stated&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;We would want a total support from Nigeria and Nigerians towards making our candidacy a reality in the forthcoming ILO election in Geneva&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In his response&comma; the Minister gave him his words by promising to take the matter up officially&comma; both amongst his colleagues and at the federal level&comma; &&num;8220&semi;and we won&&num;8217&semi;t just stop there&comma; Keyamo continued&comma; we&&num;8217&semi;ll make sure we get the support of the NLC hirachy too&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>They agreed on the need for a mutually beneficial relationship in the areas of training and skill acquisitions as a way of generating more employment opportunities for Nigerians and Koreans&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The Korean Ambassador however proposed an official visit for the Minister and key aides in order to understudy some of Korea&&num;8217&semi;s skill acquisition programmes with a view to formalizing the employment schemes&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
