Kenneth Gbagi, a business man and politician, is unfit to become Delta State governor in 2023, says group
OpenLife Nigeria reports that pressure is mounting against the aspiration of Kenneth Gbagi, a former minister of education.
A statement made available to OpenLife Nigeria by a group called Delta Interest Group, DIG, pointed out the many sins of Delta Interest Group, DIG who they described as “very unfit to contest Delta State governorship election in 2023.”
Chief among the reasons, according to the group, was the alleged assault of staff members who work at his hotel.
Only recently, the former minister was placed on the wanted list by the Delta State police over victims who he allegedly assaulted.
“The former Minister has since been placed on the wanted list by the police. The public has been asked to assist the police for his arrest if they know his whereabouts,” OpenLife Nigeria leant.
Further, OpenLife was told that the Delta command’s spokesman, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya invited Kenneth Gbagi for interrogation but he failed to honor the invitation.
Sources disclosed that the staff were accused of stealing an amount of N5,000 from the hotel. They were then stripped naked and abused physically.
This, according to DIG, whose statement was signed by its president,Thomas Joe, are sufficient reasons to deny Gbagi a ticket to contest governorship primary.
“Kenneth Gbagi is not even qualify to contest for chairmanship let alone governorship. This is a man who molested his female members of staff publicly. That alone has put a serious question mark on his integrity,” the stamen reads.
Continuing the group emphasized that “At this time and age, people with questionable character like Gbagi should not be trusted with governorship power. We will vote against him if he also able to maneuver his way round the primaries”
