Katsina Command recovers stolen cows, bursts human trafficking syndicate

&NewLine;<p> <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng">Katsina Command<&sol;a> has made significant progress in the  fight against crime in the 33 years old State&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Katsina State occupies 24&comma;192 km2 and ranks 17th largest in the federal republic of Nigeria&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>A statement signed by Superintendent Gambo Isah&comma; the Police Public Relations Officer&comma; says the Command recorded good harvest in the past few days&nbsp&semi; by recovering several cows and bursting human trafficking syndicate&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Specifically&comma; the statement narrated that at about 2pm on August 12&comma; the operatives of the  <strong>Katsina Command<&sol;strong> State Intelligence Bureau&comma; SIB&comma; arrested  40 years old Abdullahi Saidu and 50 Years old Jafaru Aminu&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The statement clarified that while Saidu&nbsp&semi; hails from&nbsp&semi; Gobirawa Village&comma; Aminu hails from Unguwar Nachibi&nbsp&semi; village in&nbsp&semi; Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The suspects were found to be in possession of 12 cows suspected to have been stolen&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The arrest was based on credible intelligence&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>This&comma; according to Gambo Isah&comma; has been the hall mark of the State Police Commissioner&comma; <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng">Sanusi Buba<&sol;a>&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>He added that &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;In the course of investigation&comma; all suspects confessed to have received the cows from bandits along Faskari Local Government Area of the State and &nbsp&semi;Birnin Gwari of Kaduna state with intent to dispose them off&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>In a related development and &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Base on reliable tip off&comma;” the<a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;thisdaylive&period;com"> Katsina Command<&sol;a> has arrested Abubakar Habibu who reportedly hails from Koza Village in the  Maiadua Local Government Area of the State on August 11 at about 4&period;30pm&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The suspect&comma; according to the Command&comma; is &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;A  kingpin in a  human trafficking syndicate terrorizing <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;wsj&period;com">Katsina state<&sol;a>&period;  He was arrested at a police check point along Kongolom &&num;8211&semi; Daura Road&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p> The suspect who is said to have been on the &OpenCurlyQuote;wanted list’ of <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;punchng&period;com">Katsina Command<&sol;a>&comma; &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Specialises in conveying their victims on motorcycles across the Nigerian boarder to Niger Republic for onward  trafficking to Libya and  Europe&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>While &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Efforts are ongoing to arresting&nbsp&semi; other members of the syndicate&comma;”&nbsp&semi; the suspect is said to have made useful confessions that will technically aide the Command for proper prosecution&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
