Insurgency: Inside North, Tackling Hitch With High Weapons

Unlike what is obtainable in other parts of the country, the Northern side of Nigeria is a pot on flickering flame as a result of anti-social ills like banditry caused by unknown gunmen. This piece is to unravel the stem behind it and the means by which the government of the day use various techniques to curb it.

In states like Kaduna and Zamfara there is the burnt perfume from the carcass of the killed with buttered-bullets.

Even Sokoto State recently hugged reluctantly a sudden sort of atteck.

Here, a total of 42 passengers are turned black barbeques with the evil perpetrators watching them in the pang.

The ungodly acts has ever been part of Nigerian history such that a critic of the literature might emphasize that it be put as the number one cankerworm that has eaten deep into the fabrics of the nation in lieu of corruption, as mentioned by Colonel Ben Gublie in his book Why We Struck.

Grey hairs can bear witness to the gloomy occurrence of the wee hours of January 15th, 1966 when the Khaki Boys jumped the barracks’ fence in hurtful demonstration what we called bloody coup de’tat.

The Ministry of Information as chaired by Lai Mohammed has on many occasions proclaimed the new strategies that the Buhari-led administration has embarked upon to end the sad pose but nevertheless, it is growing wings daily.

The way out? Nigeria should “procure” not only firearms but also high weapons that super countries like Russia or America use in war. They should not mind the amount of the cost. They should buy them now. With this, peradventure, Nigeria is on a safer side.
