Tension Envelops Nigeria As Likely Petrol Price Hike To N1,500/Litre Unsettles Households
OpenLife Nigeria reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has fixed a date to conclude outstanding elections in the 2023 general elections.
In a statement issued Monday afternoon and obtained by OpenLife, the electoral body said:
Arising from its meeting held today, the Independent National Electoral Commission has decided that all outstanding Governorship, National and State Assembly supplementary elections will take place on Saturday 15th April 2023.
It would however be recalled that INEC suspended some elections across the country including Kebbi and Adamawa States governorship elections, citing certain irregularities and misconducts which run foul of the law
