Chief Azuta Mbata, President General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, makes history as the only PG that resolved the crises in Lagos

<p><strong><a href="https://openlife.ng/">OpenLife Nigeria</a></strong> reports that Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, President, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos has come to the defence of Chief Azuta Mbata, President General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide who is being described as actionless by a social medial influencer, Austine Uche Ejeke</p>
<p><strong>As the president, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos and being among the stakeholders who have always believed in the emergence of Chief Azuta Mbata as President General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, how do you react to a write up by Austine Uche Ejeke that Mbata is missing in action?</strong></p>
<p>Well, I see that as am media statement. Sometime, media capitalizes on information they get from anyone they have contact with without verification from other parties involved.<br />
I know Austine Uche Ejeke as a good man and a prolific writer but information from the two sides are important.</p>
<p>Well, Mbata is a born leader with leadership qualities which I will commend both morning, afternoon and night.<br />
His leadership qualities and the way he studies things are second to none.<br />
You know Ndigbo is one of the most intelligent black people in the world but their internal problems are disturbing.</p>
<p>On the leadership of Chief Mbata, he has been doing well.<br />
Before he emerged as President General, the same people who are attacking him were campaigning that Ndigbo should not give their heart to Ikwerre people of Rivers State by allowing them to be head of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide.</p>

<p>So, when Mbata was elected, he was expecting those who were meeting him to be giving him quality advice that will move Ndigbo forward but they started gossiping and blackmailing one another.<br />
Mbata knew when he was elected that he would inherit crises as a leader but there are some abnormalities he cannot accept if he has the interest of Ndigbo at heart.</p>
<p>For example, someone failed an election at the state chapter election but he labelled himself above the elected State presidents in South west by claiming to be the co ordinator of south west.<br />
That is like someone who failed governorship election in a state but parading himself as chairman of Governors Forum in Nigeria.</p>
<p>Again, some of his National Executive Committee, NEC members want him to be going from one government house to another for fat envelope for sharing.<br />
They also want to be going about with him to meet dignitaries, have handshakes and take photographs and post on social media for local intimidation.</p>

<p>For instance, there was a report from late Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu about Lagos crises even when he neither attended any Ohanaeze meeting nor consulted the parties that are concerned in the crises.<br />
If there is document from such report, Chief Mbata cannot work with it without proper investigation.<br />
Or the one of Ozichukwu who did not know any Ohanaeze single member in Lagos. Any of his report about Lagos chapter including Iwuanyanwu’s own is null and void.</p>
<p>For crying out loud, Chief Mbata is a sound layer, man of integrity, a successful business man and a notable former politician.<br />
Today, he is a socio cultural leader.<br />
You cannot bribe him.</p>
<p>These are the areas where those who see <a href="https://www.photogrid.app/">Ohanaeze Ndigbo</a> as business as usual are complaining.<br />
Late King Jaja of Opobo is still lying in the mortuary. These people who are complaining that Chief Mbata is not working will be expecting invitation for the burial through Chief Mbata.</p>
<p>If he does not invite them to accompany him, they will still give other negative information to media to write against Chief Mbata’s leadership.</p>
<p>Do they expect him to be talking like illegal structure president who wants to make himself relevant trough media propaganda?<br />
Mbata accepts that he is a true Igbo man and he is taking his time to study his people Ndigbo who he already knows how difficult they are.<br />
Can you imaging some of these people who eat with crises, expect Chief Mbata, as a lawyer, to go against a High Court Consent Judgement with CTC.</p>

<p>They don’t even know that they cannot appeal a Consent Judgement after three months.<br />
But at the moment, that Consent Judgement, in my favour, is over three years.<br />
These are things Chief Mbata is not talking about and they feel he is not working.</p>
<p>For example, Mbata is a socio cultural leader and not a political leader and they want him to go and be dragging politics with Tinubu, Peter Obi and El Rufai.<br />
Ohanaeze Ndigbo is highly apolitical.<br />
Why can’t these people who are sponsoring attacks on Mbata use common sense to know that as PG of Ohanaeze, he is not into any political matter.</p>
<p>To me, I, chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, President, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos, Chief Mbata is working.<br />
My media friend, do you know that someone said that I am holding a Consent Judgement which I cannot enforce. But because I am a leader and I have the interest of Ndigbo at heart, I don’t want someone to go to prison.</p>
<p>It is just like what former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan said that his presidency does not worth the blood of any single human being.<br />
So, sending any single Ndigbo soul to prison is not a legacy I want to leave behind after lifting Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos to the pinnacle.</p>
