<h4>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;I’m Hungry And Depressed&comma; &&num;8216&semi;I Live My Life on Debt” —Nigerian singer&comma;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Eleyele’ Cries Out<&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife<&sol;a><&sol;strong> reports that Nigerian singer Busola Oke&comma; popularly known by her stage name Eleyele&comma; has opened up about years of unimaginable struggles&comma; revealing the real-life hardships behind her public image&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In a raw and emotional confession&comma; she spoke about hunger&comma; debt&comma; homelessness&comma; and the battles she fought just to survive&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;There are times I will just look at myself and I won&&num;8217&semi;t be able to provide food for myself&period; I&&num;8217&semi;m a Christian&period; I never said I was going to commit suicide because I know the implication&comma; but there was a time I prayed to God that instead of leaving me to suffer&comma; why not take my life&period; I never knew a stage like this would come in my life and that it would be this difficult&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>She described how the shows she performed in could barely cover her transport&comma; leaving her struggling to feed herself and her children&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;The show I use to collect are just able to pay for transport fare&comma; nothing else&comma; but I can&&num;8217&semi;t just sit at home without food to eat&period; I live my life on debt&period; Debt all over&period; I owe a lot of people&period; I don&&num;8217&semi;t know what can happen to me tomorrow&comma; but I don’t want to leave this world with debt&period; I want to be free&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Eleyele recounted moments of heartbreak and danger&comma; including a fire that destroyed her car&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;There was a day I was inside and I was called upon that my car was burning outside&comma; and that was it&period; I have eyes that have seen a lot that I can&&num;8217&semi;t even say out loud&period; I have been quiet since 2020&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Her struggle also included moments of vulnerability and exploitation when seeking help&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;I went to a place where they said they wanted to help me&period; When I got there&comma; they started making advances at me to do unreasonable things&period; I left because I couldn&&num;8217&semi;t do it&comma; and the person refused to give me transportation to go back&period; I communicated with my fans because I was depressed&comma; I just wanted to hear someone say &&num;8216&semi;I love you&period;'&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Perhaps the most devastating part of her story was her experience with homelessness&comma; including sleeping in an airport for days with her children&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;My rent ran out because I couldn&&num;8217&semi;t pay for it&period; I slept in the airport for three days with my children&comma; using my wrapper to cover them&period; Helplessly at the airport&period; I slept in different places because there was no place for me to live in&period; I have seen a lot&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>She also battled serious health issues during these difficult times&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;I have a heart condition and I couldn&&num;8217&semi;t breathe well&period; There was even a time I was told I wouldn&&num;8217&semi;t be able to stay more than eleven months&comma; but I survived it&period; My manager really tried for me and he stood by me&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Busola&comma; has sparked widespread sympathy and renewed support from fans as she bravely shares her journey of survival&comma; faith&comma; and resilience&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Her story is a haunting reminder that even stars can suffer in silence&comma; fighting battles the public never sees&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
