Identify Taxable Adults In Ogun, Olaleye Tasks Revenue Officers

<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Identify <strong>taxable<&sol;strong> adults and made to voluntarily discharge their civic responsibilities that would lead to increased revenue generation<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a><&sol;strong> reports that to achieve the set revenue target for the year 2021&comma; Revenue Officers in Ogun State Internal Revenue Service &lpar;OGIRS&rpar; have been tasked to be more dedicated and ensure higher performance in the discharge of their duties&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The Chairman&comma; OGIRS&comma; Mr&period; Anthony Olaleye gave this charge while declaring open a two-day 2020 Budget Performance appraisal and year 2021 Strategic Session for Revenue Officers at the OGIRS headquarters in Abeokuta&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Olaleye&comma; in a statement signed by the Head&comma; OGIRS Media&comma; Mrs&period; Bolanle Ogunlami&comma; urged the officers to think out of the box and come up with new strategies&comma; to ensure that every taxable adult residing in the State were identified and made to voluntarily discharge their civic responsibilities that would lead to increased revenue generation&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;&&num;8221&semi; You need to re-strategise&comma; think out of the box&comma; and come up with ideas that are not in existence&period; Nobody knows COVID-19 will come into existence in the year 2020&comma; but it came&period; I&comma; therefore&comma; want you to think outside the box&comma;&&num;8221&semi; he said&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;According to the Chairman&comma; the budget session was aimed at appraising the year 2020 revenue performance and chart a new course for the year 2021 for better revenue performance&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;He enthused that&comma; the session would provide an opportunity for the agency to identify its strengths and weaknesses&comma; to perform better in the coming year&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Earlier&comma; the Agency took delivery of 30 operational motorbikes and 10 vehicles that would enable its Revenue Officers to reach the nooks and crannies of the State with ease&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;While commissioning the operational motorbikes and vehicles&comma; the Chairman disclosed that they were the first phase of the State government&&num;8217&semi;s support to OGIRS to empower them for better performance saying improved IGR would enable Government to fulfill her electoral campaign of making life better for the citizenry&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
