<p><em>Ibrahim Lamorde, a former chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commissions is now the head of Police Force intelligence bureau</em></p>
<p><strong><a href="https://openlife.ng/">OpenLife Nigeria</a></strong> gathers that Ibrahim Lamorde, one of the newly promoted Deputy Inspector General of Police, DIG who was formerly chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has been assigned to head Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB).<br />
In a press release signed by an equally newly promoted Police Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, stated that other newly promoted DIGs have been assigned different portfolios.<br />
The statement titled, Newly Promoted Digs Get Portfolios, reads:</p>
<p><em>“Following the recent promotion of Senior Police Officers by the Police Service Commission, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, NPM, mni has ordered the posting/redeployment of five (5) newly promoted Deputy Inspectors General of Police to oversee Departments of the Force, whose former heads retired recently after the completion of their service years.</em></p>
<p><em>The promoted Senior Officers; DIG Usman Alkali Baba, fdc will now head the Force Criminal Investigations Department (FCID), DIG Ibrahim A. Lamorde, mni &#8211; Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB), DIG David Oyebanji Folawiyo, mni &#8211; Department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), DIG Joseph O. Egbunike &#8211; Department of Finance and Administration, DIG Dan-Mallam Mohammed, fdc &#8211; Department of Training and Development. Similarly, AIG Moses Ambakina Jitoboh, mni was redeployed from the Border Patrol Section to Acting DIG in-charge of the Department of Research and Planning.</em></p>
<p><em>The IGP, while congratulating the Officers, who by this promotion and posting, are now members of the Force Management Team, charges them to bring their vast experience and professionalism to bear in their leadership of the Departments to enhance the ongoing reforms and repositioning of the Force.</em></p>
<p><em>The postings and redeployments are with immediate effect.”</em></p>
