Greatest
OpenLife Nigeria reports that a Brazilian professional footballer, Marcelo Vieira da Silva Júnior, known as Marcelo, has revealed the strangest thing about one of the most admired footballers on earth, Lionel Messi.
Marcelo, a left-back for Campeonato Brasileiro Série A club Fluminense, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest left-backs of all time as a result of his attacking capabilities, stated this in an interview in which he extolled the professional skills of Messi.
Said Marcelo : “Messi is a player you have to play against but don’t provoke him. We used to find it difficult to stop him when he was in a normal state, but when he got angry it was as if he turned into Super Messi.
“He becomes another person who wants revenge, but his way of taking revenge is through goals, and this is not in our favor. The new defenders will not suffer as we did. Their mission is somewhat easy.
“The best striker now will not make you sleepless nights before facing him, but Messi did that. The strangest thing is that every time we faced him, we did not find a solution for him.
“He is a player who is difficult to understand and has an extraordinary talent. Is he the best? I think the Ballon d’Or are enough to say who is the best in football.”
