<h4>Governor Dapo Abiodun Builds Agro Cargo Airport In Ogun State<&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a> <&sol;strong>reports that as the people of OgunState lament the poor and deplorable state of roads in the gateway state&comma; the governor&comma; in his conventional wisdom has made significant progress in the construction of modern agro-allied cargo airport in Ilisan Remo&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The young governor has indicated the airport will be ready for use by November 2022&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The project which begun in March 2021 is set to provide at least 25&comma;000 jobs&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;The agro cargo airport will have positive effects on hotels and warehouses being constructed in the area&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote; The Nigeria Customs and the Nigerian Air Force are coming there&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;We have a firm belief in inclusive agricultural opportunities that will not cut off smallholder farmers&comma; youths and women” said Governor Dapo Abiodun&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Continuing&comma; Abiodun said the airport is going to give exporters the leeway to export cocoa&comma; kolanut&comma; rubber&comma; tobacco&comma; cassava&comma; yam&comma; maize&comma; sweet potato&comma; oil palm&comma; timbre and cashew&comma; among others&comma; adding that it would enable exporters bypass the bottlenecks of the Murtala Muhammad International Airport in<a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;punchng&period;com&sol;"> Lagos<&sol;a>&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;He noted further that industries will spring up as soon as it commences operations&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Meanwhile&comma; residents of Ogun State ae lamenting the deplorable state of roads in their areas&comma; calling on Governor Dapo Abiodun to do the needful&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Majority of the complaints on Ogun roads are coming from Sango&comma; Ota&comma; Ifo&comma; Ijoko&comma; Akute&comma; Agbado&comma; Oke Aro&comma; Alagbole&comma; Lambe&comma; Atan&comma; Owode-Ilaro and others&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Residents of the areas said both the state and federal governments have forgotten them as though they are not existing&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Yewa-Awori people&comma; under whom the majority of the bad roads are located&comma; alleged being marginalised by the state government&comma; saying their area would develop only if they could unite and produce a governor in subsequent elections&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Despite being the industrial hub of the state&comma; the people of Ado-Odo&sol;Ota Local Government&comma; opined that those in the helms of affairs use the funds generated in the area to develop other regions&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The people groaned that they could no longer go out with their cars&comma; expressing worry that industries in the local government have started to relocate&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;

Nollywood Actress, Shine Rosman, Raises Alarm Over Alleged Sexual Harassment In Lagos OpenLife reports that Nollywood actress Shine Rosman has spoken about what she describes as ongoing incidents of sexual harassment affecting women in parts of Lagos, particularly in Yaba. She said the issue is widely known among residents but remains unaddressed. “Do you know how bad sexual harrssment is in Lagos? Like go to Yaba, as a girl and see how you will be touched inappropriately. Everybody hearing this knows that it is true. But till today, nothing is being done about it.” She described what she claims are repeated incidents of inappropriate contact in public spaces without consequences for those responsible. “You’re walking in Yaba and people are touching you inappropriately and nothing will happen.” Rosman questioned the absence of effective intervention and raised concerns about personal safety in such environments. “If the government is not going to do anything, is it not ok for us to defend ourselves? In 2026, in a country like Nigeria, s+xual har+ssment is still one of the most passive things.” She also raised concerns about the implications of such behaviour occurring in open public spaces. “If a man can s+xually h+rass you casually during the day, what do you think he can do behind closed doors when no one is looking?”. The comments were made during an interview with Tolu Afilaka, where she discussed women’s safety in public areas of Lagos.
