OpenLife reports that Nollywood superstar Funke Akindele has shut down critics questioning why she continues to push her blockbuster project, even after it reportedly raked in over ₦2.6 billion.
Addressing a skeptical message, Akindele made it clear that her drive goes far beyond the box office.
“Someone sent a message to me and he said ‘behind the scenes has grossed over 2.6 billion why are you still promoting it? Go and relax now, you’re not tired?’” she recalled.
But the award-winning actress and filmmaker fired back with her trademark determination.
“And I told the person it’s not about the money the most important thing is consistency. If you want to be successful, you want to keep breaking records, you have to be consistent, keep pushing your market it’s never be enough,” she said.
Her statement is a reminder that in Akindele’s world, hitting milestones is never the finish line.
For her, every success is fuel for the next record, proving that longevity and impact come from persistence and strategy, not just financial gain.
