Funke Akindele Confronts Air Peace As Passengers Endure Long Wait At London Gatwick Airport

OpenLife reports that tension gripped London Gatwick Airport as passengers arriving on an Air Peace flight found themselves caught in an extended delay that stretched for hours without resolution. What began as a routine arrival quickly turned into a frustrating ordeal, with travelers left waiting for their luggage and receiving little communication from airline officials.

The situation drew public attention after Funke Akindele shared her experience online, describing the conditions faced by those affected.

According to her account, passengers had been held up since early morning, with no clear direction on when their belongings would be released or what support would be provided.

“Air Peace, what is going on? Since 7AM at London Gatwick Airport and it’s almost 4PM no bags, no hotel, no proper updates. Passengers are stranded. People are tired and hungry. Release the luggage and take care of your passengers NOW,” she wrote.

Several passengers reportedly expressed similar frustrations, citing exhaustion and uncertainty after spending hours at the airport without access to essential items. Complaints ranged from the absence of accommodation arrangements to a lack of refreshments, further compounding the discomfort of those affected.

As the delay dragged on, calls for immediate intervention grew louder, with travelers urging the airline to act decisively by releasing luggage and addressing their welfare. At the time the situation unfolded, there had been no official communication from Air Peace addressing the concerns raised by passengers.
