a person shall be eligible for the office of State Governor in Nigeria if he or she is a citizen of Nigeria by birth&comma; at least 35 years of age&comma; is a member of a political party and is sponsored by that political party&comma; according to the constitution&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The constitution limits these Nigerian state governors to only two terms of four-year terms in office&period; Below is a compiled list of the 36 state governors in Nigeria&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In 2023&comma; elections were dully held in many states for governors while state assemblies will also have their elections in the 36 states&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The states that won’t participate in the governorship elections are Edo&comma; Ondo&comma; Ekiti&comma; Bayelsa&comma; Anambra and Osun states as the tenures of their governors are yet to expire&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>As it stands&comma; APC has more control in majority of the states in Nigeria while PDP won few other states especially in the southern region of the country&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>We have the updated list of governors elected in the 2023 election and if there are changes&comma;
