Founder of AMAA awards, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe is dead

Founder of the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), Peace Anyiam-Osigwe is dead.

It was reported that the  prominent figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry was reportedly in a coma at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos since Saturday before her death was confirmed by close friends and colleagues, including notable film maker Zik Zulu and award-winning producer Obi Emelonye.

Buhari Makes Fresh Appointment

Anyiam-Osigwe was also the President of the Association of Movie Producers and made significant contributions to the growth and development of Nollywood.

She will be remembered as a key figure in shaping the face of the Nigerian film industry.
