<p><strong>FG To Declare State Of Emergency In Anambra</strong></p>

<p><strong>Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide says the Federal Government may soon declare a state-of-emergency in Anambra State.</strong></p>
<p>This is coming on the heels of the brutal assassination of Dr Chike Akunyili, husband to late NAFDAC DG, Dora Akunyili.</p>
<p>Chike Akunyili was killed by unknown gunmen on Tuesday while returning from an occasion.</p>
<p>In a statement, on Wednesday afternoon, the apex Igbo organization said the federal government<strong> &#8220;might use the pretence of the proclamation of the southeast as a RED ZONE to declare a state of emergency in Anambra state before the Anambra Guber elections&#8221;.</strong></p>

<p>The group condemned the killing of Akunyili adding that the state governor, Willie Obiano to ensure that the killers are brought to book urgently.</p>
<p><em><strong>“The slaughter of Dr. Chike Akunyili, the husband of late Prof Dora Akunyili is atrocious, horrendous, unacceptable, and barbaric.”</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>“Governor Willie Obiano should ensure that the perpetrators of this heinous crime and murder are brought to face the consequences of their actions before the laws of the land.”</strong></em></p>
